Just bought a couple of sets of genuine Panasonic 18650s from this eBay seller
Top bloke ,very knowledgable on his Li-ions and torches in general.

http://www.torchythebatteryboy.com/. Link to his torch blog.

Nothing really to get excited about inside the battery pack.

Looks like water has been getting in somewhere ,probably around the charging plug . That'll be getting masticked up before i re-assemble it

Simple case of de soldering the wiring to the PCB .

Ill have to work out a decent method for re sealing the plastic casing as the only way of opening it was running a craft knife all the wayaround the seam and splitting the two half's . Possibly clean the two half's and super glue ,with a bead of silicone over the top.?

GOOD POST MICK......Im wading through the guys website (please don't test me on it) I ordered some trustfire 18650 3000protected last week which came out reasonably well in the test on the scottish guys website

To re seal your battery box, you could use a Hot glue gun...just a though, What was the mah of the batts that were in your opened battery holder?
